James A. (Jim) Piper (born c 1949) is a New Zealand/Australian physicist, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and Professor of Physics at Macquarie University.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=James Piper )〕 Piper studied at University of Otago, New Zealand, B.Sc. Piper has a strong international reputation for Gas laser research in Continuous wave metal ion, cyclic pulsed metal vapour lasers and metal ion recombination lasers.
